National Activities

The Association of Assistive Technology Act Programs (ATAP) is a national, member-based organization, comprised of state Assistive Technology Act Programs funded under the Assistive Technology Act (AT Act).

ACL brings together the efforts and achievements of the Administration on Aging, the Administration on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, and the HHS Office on Disability to serve as the Federal agency responsible for increasing access to community supports, while focusing attention and resources on the unique needs of older Americans and people with disabilities across the lifespan.
The overall goal of the AT3 Center is to provide training and technical assistance for State AT Programs to support quality implementation of state level and state leadership activities and to support a national assistive technology internet site that makes general AT information available to the public and other stakeholders. The AT3 Center will ensure all state level and state leadership activities are equitably addressed and will focus on integration and synergy across all authorized activities.
